Yesterday was a crappy day. I was oncall and for those that might not have heard, here is the link http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/02/current-gmail-outage.html. For those that did not know, I work as an SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) for GMail at Google.
On a better note, I have recently installed xmonad, and I’m really happy with it as it has increased my productivity. Currently, I’m still using a rather standard configuration, except for some custom key-bindings. I will probably post when I get a more customized configuration.
