Well,
It was a great new year, we had a lot of fun having dinner amongst friends. Now back home, after my trip, I got back onto #haskell and after complimenting dons a happy new year, he asked if my resolutions for 2007 would include more Haskell projects. Although my original 4 resolutions did not include them, perhaps I could add this 5th resolution. The main issue is that I never know what to code, so I’m left with a bunch of PLs in a state of disuse. Suggestions, are of course, always welcome, dear reader.

David House suggested that I find what I would like to learn about a specific language and find a project that exercises this problem. When asked what I wanted to learn more about (FFI, IO … of haskell) I mentioned that in general I’m more curious about semantics, at which point Lennart Augustsson mentioned that perhaps I should make a compiler (or if I had already done that, a partial evaluator).
